There Are Worlds Out There Where The Sky is Burning

“There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea’s asleep and the rivers dream, people made of smoke and cities made of song.
Somewhere there’s danger, somewhere there’s injustice and somewhere else the tea is getting cold.

Come on, Ace, we’ve got work to do.”

Now, I do LOVE me some astronomy, and, as I said before – physics. But in the light of recent feels and events, these totally mean Doctor Who nails to me.

Seriously, the Whovian in me is still very much hyped after the EPIC 50th (wanna hear about me crying in Tesco?) and that same Whovian is very pleased with vast galaxy nails, after silly, skittle Doctor Who nail art, thank you very much.

Galaxy nails (my first ever attempt) and a much shorter and rounder look – do y’all like it? : )

PS I caved in and set up a Facebook page for my blog – I hate having multiple accounts, but then I realised that’s only sound as a reader – as an author it is my responsibility to reach different social media communities…
So my mad magpie nails will be now appearing on Facebook, we’ll see how it goes, if you’re so inclined you may like my page and cement my presence on the almighty FB site… : )

Allergy PS Do not mind my fingers in this post, Cif attacked me while I attacked my flat (Operation Winter Cleaning) and I got a severe case of detergent allergy – I didn’t use gloves, clever me.
I hate gloves. I feel like I’m not cleaning stuff properly with them on.

Still, I did a Doctor Who mani and it made my fingers happ(ier).

  1. Your nails are so so pretty!!!! Awesome job at galaxy nails :) Ans they’re even more awesome because they’re Doctor Who themed :)

    • Thank you! And I, so glad you noticed the stars!, I was actually thinking while painting them that I’ve always seen white ones on galaxy nails, and I wanted something different and warmer, gold just looks right for stars. Plus, I didn’t use too much glitter, so the gold didn’t get lost.
      Thanks!

    • Aw, thank you!
I kept being tempted into using more colours, like bursts of warmer shades, much like exploding stars, but my plan was to keep it simple colour -wise, as it is, I used about 8 polishes on each nail : )
Definitely try them! So much fun to wear.

  2. We watched the 2005 premier of doctor who tonite and it made me think of you and your whovian madness. Never seen it before- unfortunately I was on the phone and missed most of it… but that’s the glory of netflix. I can watch it whenevs. They even have the old seasons!

    • Yay, Jacqui, it always makes me so happy when newbies try and delve into Whoverse – and since Doctor Who is FANTASTIC I bet next time you watch it without being on the phone you’ll love it and soon after you’ll be a full-fledged Whovian! : )) And then let the Doctor Who nail art madness at CraftyNail commence!
So you watched (parts of) the first episode of New Who, with the mannequins and the 9th, leather-clad Doctor, right? How did you like it, what you glimpsed?
      : )
